The 2011 Fair had the theme of "A History of Newnham". We uncovered some of the historical past of the village and provided an enjoyable afternoon of entertainment for all ages.
Various events took place along The Chains, and other venues in the village in the afternoon and evening.
In the Armoury Hall there was an Art Exhibition and a historical display about the changing face of the High Street with a rare opportunity to view the impressive Newnham Sword - which wasn't to be missed.
A Music & Comedy Night was held at The Club in the evening with Dick Brice and The Cheeky Monkey and was an evening to remember.
To visit the village parking is available at the Riverside car park or at the White Hart pub in Broadoak and enjoy the short riverside walk along to the village.
The Fair takes place at Newnham on Severn in Gloucestershire and is an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon for all ages, raising money for the benefit of local groups, organisations, charities and the community. We welcome enquiries from any local individuals, groups or charities who would be interested in running stalls, helping or contributing to the event.
We are always on the look out for new ideas and would welcome new members to the committee or help on the day to make the event a success.
